Good negotiations contribute tremendously to business success, as they help you build better relationships, deliver lasting, quality solutions — rather than poor short-term solutions that do not satisfy the needs of either party, help you avoid future problems and conflicts.
At this session, I shared tips on how I prepare for negotiations and the principles with which I handle each negotiation. I shared reasons why “LISTENING” is an imperative skill to acquire to excel at negotiating.
I spoke about the preliminary steps to take before starting a negotiation like research. You must find a common ground, something that can serve as an ice breaker to make the conversation flow easily.
