The founder and Lead Partner of Detail Commercial Solicitors, Ayuli Jemide was inaugurated as a Neutral at the DPR Mediation Centre earlier yesterday, the 15th of April 2021.
He is expected to join other industry experts to deliver timely arbitration, mediation, and conciliation services for the industry. The Head, Public Affairs, DPR, Paul Osu in a statement, shared that the centre would eliminate the attendant consequences of value erosion in terms of national resource growth, global competitiveness, investment attractiveness and investor’s profitability
Mr. Jemide isn’t new to the negotiation ring. Since 2005 as Lead Partner of Detail Commercial Solicitors, he has navigated key aspects of the firm’s service delivery and has personally advised on transactions creating novel structures that saved clients millions of dollars, including Beloxxi Industries 80m USD equity raise, Lagos State Blue Line Railway; UPDC Plc N30 billion REITS; Heineken BV’s purchase of 5 breweries in Nigeria; 2nd Niger Bridge Design Build Operate & Transfer; Ladol/Samsung JV for Total’s Egina FPSO integration.
Mr. Jemide is of the opinion that for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre (ADRC) to survive, it must ensure that the mediation process does not become another court room with staunch legal representation and lawyerly antics that often plague our courtrooms. He expressed appreciation at the Nigerian Bar Association and the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law for this laudable project and looks forward to working with the ADRC to make sure this project succeeds.
